Drug Interactions of Botox and Xeomin
You should avoid taking Botox and Xeomin with other medications or drugs with similar effects. These may include anticholinergics (clidinium, benztropine, atropine), aminoglycosides (streptomycin, tobramycin, gentamicin), muscle relaxants, as well as curare alkaloids (alcuronium, tubocurarine). Botulinum toxin would also interact with cold medications, allergy medications, sleep medications, and antibiotics. Getting an injection of Botox or Xeomin at the same time with these medications would result in increased risk of side effects or reduce their effectiveness. Both treatments should also be not taken with other botulinum neurotoxin products. Otherwise, it may make side effects become worse over time. [10]
