Stay clear of chemicals
As a COPD patient, being exposed to chemicals triggers the symptoms and aggravates them. A study found out that most of the adult COPD patients who neither smoke nor have any record of smoking are factory workers who have had long-term exposure to harmful substances. Asides this, Dr. Axe reported in his 2015 study that out of the 167 patients diagnosed with COPD, more than 60 percent of them reported cleaning supplies as a trigger for COPD symptoms, more than 50 percent had troubles after being exposed to colognes, pesticides and scented candles, while about 50 percent reported hairspray as a trigger. It is therefore advised that all COPD patients should resolve to use Do-It-Yourself (DIY) household products as alternatives to chemical products.
