How to Perform CPR – Guidelines, Procedure, And Ratio

CPR with Breaths

CPR with breaths, also known as mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, is suitable for infants, children, teenagers, and adults. However, the specific technique for chest compressions are not the same for every age groups. The general steps include chest compressions, airway opening, and then breathing. It is important to perform this technique in the first few minutes of an accident when oxygen is still in the person’s bloodstream and lungs. CPR with breaths should be done when you are officially trained to ensure safety and effectiveness. Otherwise, it is better to use hands-only CPR. [7]
