Faslodex (Fulvestrant) – Uses, Dosage, Side Effects and More

How Does Faslodex Work?

Faslodex contains the active drug called fulvestrant. It works by targeting a hormone in female bodies called estrogen. This hormone may stimulate the growth and spread of cancer cells, which would increase the risk of breast cancer. By taking Faslodex, it would inhibit the growth of estrogen and keep it from stimulating other cancer cells. The half-life of this medication is approximately 40 days. It means that a half of the drug can be removed by the body after 40 days. A full dose may stay in the system for nearly 200 days. Consult your doctor to learn more about how long it stays and how it actually works. [3]
