Other Food Options for People with Braces
Veggies
Veggies contain a lot of essential minerals and vitamins for many body functions. More importantly, they are the main source of fiber for good digestion. Ideally, people with braces should prepare veggies a bit differently. Raw and hard products like broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, can be not easy to bite with braces on and would even cause the bracket to break the teeth. Therefore, consider cutting them into smaller pieces to make them easier to chew and bite. Avoid eating raw veggies. Instead, cook properly to make them softer, which can be easier on your braces. You may roast or boil veggies until they turn soft, or steam them until they are tender. [4]
