Common Side Effects of Benzodiazepines
Side effects of benzodiazepines can vary a lot, depending on your health condition and the type you take. Some common problems include diarrhoea, depression, confusion, constipation, irritability, reduced coordination and motor skills, headache, fatigue, erectile dysfunction, dry mouth, drowsiness, impaired cognition, short-term memory loss, muscle weakness, reduced sex drive, and increased appetite or a loss of appetite. Most of these side effects are associated with the depressant effects of benzodiazepines on the central nervous system. [5]
