Pregnant women should avoid taking Lipitor. If you get pregnant during a treatment of this medication, stop taking it immediately and inform your healthcare provider. Studies have shown that the drug would affect the fetus and lead to complications. It is possible to take Lipitor when you are breastfeeding. However, doing this is not advisable. Scientists are still not fully clear how much atorvastatin would pass into breast milk. However, it would result in certain side effects in the baby. [10]
