Sleep Well
Sleep is important for both physical and mental health, especially when you are living with chronic diseases. Studies have found that those who sleep fewer than 6 hours per night are more prone to mental problems. Ideally, aim for at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep a day. The quality of sleep matters as well. Disruptions during sleep would increase the risk of many problems. To sleep well, you should:
– Avoid alcohol and caffeine, especially at night
– Sleep in a quiet, dark, and cool place
– Try to sleep and get up at the same time every day
– Turn off all electronic devices [4]
