Surgery
When other treatments do not improve symptoms of jumper’s knee, surgery might be needed to repair your damaged patellar tendon. The traditional operation involves scraping the tendon and knee cap by opening the knee. Arthroscopic surgery is one of the most common procedures. It only needs 4 small incisions and allows for quicker recovery. Depending on the chosen procedure, recovery time can vary. In some cases, you might need a cast after the operation. Some rehabilitation exercises would help speed up recovery. [9]
