Eczema
Eczema is a group of conditions that lead to itchy, red skin spots that may look like those in psoriasis. It occurs when the immune system overreacts. Compared to psoriasis, eczema may be itchier and would lead to crusting and oozing when you scratch. It is easier to spot the differences between these two conditions under the microscope:
– In psoriasis, skin cells may appear compressed and dense because of the quicker speed of skin development
– In eczema, there is no compression [2]
