The 7 Stages of Dementia

Very Mild Dementia

In the next stage of dementia, the patients might have some very mild decline in their cognitive functions, which are associated with aging. It is often characterized by more frequent lapses of memory in the following aspects:

– Forget the names of someone that they used to know very well

– Forget the place in which you placed an item

In most cases, this mild decline in their memory functions is just a normal cognitive decline occurring in older people. However, it could also be one of the first symptoms of degenerative dementia. At this phase, symptoms are still barely imperceptible through some clinical interviews. Concerns for the early development of dementia should arise in relation to other typical conditions. [2]
