Cold Sore Ointments
Many ointments are made to help ease pain caused by cold sores. Also, these products are effective in alleviating common symptoms to reduce the duration of an outbreak. Make sure to wear gloves or wash your hands thoroughly before applying the medication. Dab it gently on the affected area and wash your hands immediately to prevent it from spreading. It is possible to do this up to six times per day. Make sure to wait at least three hours between each time and keep doing it for at least 1 week.
