Meningitis
Meningitis is another sign of Polio that you need to observe keenly. It is usually an inflammation that affects the meninges, which are the three membranes that protect and covers the spinal cord. The spinal cord and the brain are one of the most sensitive organs in the body systems. You find that when Menegitis affects an individual, they expose signs of running mad where it is a severe illness that requires acute medical attention. The poliovirus attacks the fluids in the meninges, thus resulting in meningitis which is highly contagious as the virus can spread fast. [6]
