Currently, there is no specific treatment or cure for Reye’s syndrome. However, many options are available to manage symptoms and protect the brain from possible damages. Osmotic diuretics are often prescribed to children with this condition to reduce pressure in their heads. Also, the medications can increase the loss of fluids via stimulating urination. These effects subsequently help reduce swelling in the head and prevent some possible damages.[6]
