Psoriatic Arthritis Enthesitis: Symptoms, Causes, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prevention

Psoriatic Arthritis Enthesitis Diagnosis

There is currently no specific lab test to help diagnose psoriatic arthritis enthesitis. The doctor may have to ask about your symptoms and medical history. A physical exam may also be done to check for joint swelling or redness, measure the range of motion of the affected joint, assess join pain and tenderness, or look for other signs of psoriatic arthritis that usually occur with enthesitis. Some imaging techniques can be useful in looking for inflamed entheses, such as a MRI scan, ultrasound, or X-ray. [5]
