What Is Oral Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic disease that leads to inflammation and quick growth of skin cells. As skin cells build up, it may cause scaly, red patches of skin anywhere on the body. When the condition occurs in the mouth, it is known as oral psoriasis. This type may affect surrounding parts, such as the tongue or lips. It is more likely to affect people with existing psoriasis.
