Sepsis
Sepsis is a serious symptom of an MRSA infection. It occurs when the immune system responds to widespread infection in the body. You may experience a high fever with a body temperature more than 102 °F or 39 °C. This would lead to further issues, such as shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, disorientation, or chills. If left untreated properly, sepsis could cause organ failure, reduced blood flow, or blood clots. Since it is a medical emergency, make sure to visit your doctor to prevent more serious complications. This symptom often appears in infants, older people, and those with weakened immune systems or chronic diseases, such as liver or kidney illnesses. [3]
