Memory Loss – All You Need to Know

Signs and Symptoms

You know when your brain can’t give you a vital piece of information that you thought you know. Memory loss (amnesia) can manifest differently in different people. It is short-lived in some people, while in others, it is prolonged, depending on the underlying cause. Symptoms of memory loss can be mild, moderate or severe, depending on the symptoms. Mild memory loss involves forgetting where you dropped the newspaper in your hands a while ago, not remembering that the cooking gas was turned on, forgetting an appointment with your doctor, and stuff like that. These symptoms are more common than others.

Severe cases of memory loss can be linked to underlying diseases or mental issues, for example, Alzheimer’s. In such cases, a person might forget they owned a house or were even married. They might forget their spouse’s name and their own birthday. This type is serious and required urgent medical attention to help manage it. [3]
