Psoriatic Arthritis

Psoriatic arthritis is a physically limiting and painful form of psoriasis. Around 1 out of 3 people with psoriasis has this type. Psoriatic arthritis can be further divided into 5 subtypes with different symptoms. There is currently no cure for this condition. In people with this disease, many skin issues and join problems may reduce the quality of life. To reduce pain and swelling caused by psoriatic arthritis, you may take NSAIDs, such as naproxen sodium and ibuprofen. Some other prescription drugs, such as prednisone can alleviate inflammation that results in psoriatic arthritis. Other treatments include light therapy and topical medications, such as tazarotene, calciopotriene, and salicylic acid. [3]
