CT Scan
A computerized tomography or CT scan generates an image of the pelvis or abdomen by using a series of X-rays. It is usually used in staging cancer, but can also be useful in the diagnosis. Your healthcare provider might suggest a CT scan to evaluate the lungs, liver, intestines, and lymph nodes for signs of metastasis. While results may show large tumors, it may not detect smaller growths. [3]
