Avoid Salty or Acidic Foods
It is better to go for bland foods when you have a mouth ulcer. Avoid overly salty or acidic foods because they would irritate the wound and slow down the process of healing. These include spicy peppers, hot sauce, tomatoes, and citrus juices or fruits. Wait until the ulcer is healed to consume these products again. Carbonated drinks, caffeinated beverages, beer, liquor, and wine should also be avoided. In case you eat or drink them, make sure to rinse out with a mouthwash to ease irritation. [7]
