The average age of people diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma is around 39. In general, this form is more prevalent in those who are over 55 years old and young adults. As for the gender, the disease happens slightly more often in males than in females. Siblings of young individuals with Hodgkin’s lymphoma may be at higher risks, and the possibility is very high in identical twins. Other risk factors include autoimmune diseases, HIV, as well as medications used for suppressing the immune systems.
