Applying Ice
Applying an ice pack to the affected foot can help ease the pain and discomfort. This home remedy is especially effective for those with joint pain because of gout, bursitis, arthritis, inflammation, infection, or trauma. Nevertheless, avoid putting ice directly on the skin. Instead, wrap it in a cloth or towel to avoid frostbite or skin burn. Keep the pack on the affected part for around 10 to 15 minutes. Another option is to put a frozen or cold water bottle on the ground and roll your feet on it. This is especially helpful for those with plantar fasciitis. [3]
