Radiation Exposure
Previous exposures to high doses of radiation in radiotherapy might lead to several cancerous changes in the bone cells. Even though this is a small risk, it would occur at later stages. The possibility is especially during childhood. While a typical X-ray is harmless, higher doses over 60 Gy would increase the risk. Direct exposures to sunlight can also bring the same effects.
