Dengue Fever: Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments

Rashes

After 3 to 4 days when the fever decreases, your skin might develop some rashes triggered by the bursting of capillaries. In most cases, they often get better for 1 or 2 days and then come back. The initial spots usually appear on your face as reddish and spotty patches or flushed skin. They don’t itch as in other skin disorders. The next wave might start on your trunk and spread to other parts such as legs, arms, and face. This stage might last from 2 to 3 days. Petechiae or small dots can also happen and show up anywhere on your body after the fever disappears. [4]
