Sweat Test
People with cystic fibrosis often have a higher level of chloride. Therefore, a sweat test would be helpful in testing its concentration. The procedure involves the use of a small device to gather sweat around the thigh or forearm. If the result is higher than 60 mmol/l, it is likely that you are suffering from this disease. Make sure to do this test two times to confirm the initial diagnosis. In babies, the test can only be done after the delivery at least 4 weeks. Avoid using any cream or lotion for 1 day before starting. [3]
