Crohn’s Disease – Causes, Diagnosis, Treatments

Fish Oil

Derived from the fat tissue of fishes such as tuna, anchovies, herring, and mackerel, fish oil is rich in two omega-3 fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). According to scientists, omega-3 fatty acids have many benefits and can help fight inflammation, improve eye health, and more. Though it is not testified yet in treating Crohn’s disease, some people take fish oil supplements to reduce intestinal inflammation.

Supplements

People believe that supplements containing certain herbs, vitamins, and minerals may help reduce inflammation associated with Crohn’s disease. Research is still ongoing to find out optimal supplements for Crohn’s disease.
