Colorado Tick Fever
Colorado tick fever is a rare condition triggered by the CTF virus. The pathogens can be transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks called Dermacentor andersoni, also known as Rocky Mountain wood ticks. The virus does not spread from person to person, but some cases are associated with blood transfusion. The most common signs include tiredness, body aches, headache, chills, and fever. Colorado tick fever often occurs during the summer or spring when ticks are most actives. It takes around 1 to 14 days for the symptoms to show up. [10]
