Poor Posture
Poor posture is a leading cause of bursitis, especially around hip areas. Some typical examples include leaning a single side of the body when standing, having curvature in the spine, having a shorter leg, having flat feet, crossing the legs when sitting, or suffering from knee or hip arthritis. All of these postures would increase the risk of a special form called trochanteric bursitis. Therefore, make sure to sit up and stand straight at all time to avoid putting pressure and tension on the joints of your hip. [6]
