SABAs stand for short-acting beta-agonists. They are a form of bronchodilator that is often used for treating symptoms of acute cardiac asthma. The most common option is albuterol. These drugs can be effective in dealing with typical signs, such as cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, and wheezing. People often take them at least 20 minutes before doing physical exercises to prevent the onset of exercise-induced problems. However, keep in mind that SABAs are not controller drugs.
