Fatty Foods
Fatty foods would lead to high blood pressure and obesity, two major risk factors for atrial fibrillation and other heart diseases. Thus, following a lower-calorie and fat-free diet can be effective in combating high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and excess weight. Make sure to avoid trans fats, which can be found in fried foods, doughnuts, potato chips, cookies, crackers, and margarine. Those substances are very dangerous and can increase the risks of atrial fibrillation. If you need to consume fats, it is better to go for polyunsaturated fats. [9]
