Heart Transplant
This is considered the end-stage treatment of congestive heart failure and it is used in extreme cases where all forms of medications have failed. It is the last resort for patients with heart failure. A heart transplant is an operation in which a person’s weakened and diseased heart is replaced with a new heart. The new heart is from a deceased donor, which is a person who is dead but still has a healthy heart in good condition. Although a heart transplant is a life-saving medical means of treating Congestive heart failure, it involves many risks. These risks can, however, be controlled and managed by careful monitoring, regular check-up, and treatment. [8]
