Antipsychotics medicines, also known as neuroleptics, are another effective medication that may help alleviate long-term pain. Research has shown that antipsychotics may be helpful in treating conditions including fibromyalgia, but there’s yet to be enough clinical studies confirming this.
Furthermore, using this medication may result in some side effects such as restlessness, tremor (shaking) and drowsiness. [4]
