Flares
Psoriatic arthritis can be a hell of a disease. There have been records of people experiencing frequent periods of increased disease activities and symptoms. This condition is referred to as flares.
Flares in some people are not frequent. Some of the flares linked with psoriatic arthritis are inflammatory bowel diseases like diarrhea, an interstitial lung disease that leads to shortness of breath and cough, obesity, high blood pressure, depression, gout, osteopenia, and poor cholesterol levels. In the case of severe psoriatic arthritis caused by chronic inflammation, your blood vessels can be damaged, exposing you to a very high risk of developing heart attacks and strokes. [3]
