Screening for Lung Cancer
Not all of us need to be screened for lung cancer. In general, people from 55 to 74 years old who have a history of heavy smoking or smoke heavily should get CT scans for any signs of lung cancer. To know whether you were or are a heavy smoker, try to measure the number of cigarette bags. Even when you have quit smoking for the last 15 years, the risk is still high. [5]
