Heart Palpitations
Heart palpitations are also a common symptom of anemia. They are characterized by sensations of having a pounding, fluttering, or fast-beating heart. It is still not fully understood the association between heart issues and iron deficiency in anemia. Scientists believe that it may be linked to oxygen supply in the body. A deficiency of iron leads to low haemoglobin levels, which reduces the transport of oxygen to other parts. Therefore, the heart needs to pump harder to compensate.
