Steroids
The application of steroids for people with sepsis is still controversial. In some cases, doctors might use them when vasopressors and intravenous cannot stabilize the cardiovascular functions. These drugs can be used with a low dose to help with septic shock. However, tissue resistance to steroids would occur in critical cases. That’s why it is not a very common treatment option for sepsis patients. Using steroids might be best suited for people with early ARDS and septic shock. [10]
