10 Eye Care Warning Signs You Should Be Aware of

Floaters

Floaters are small objects (particles, specks, dots, or lines) that appear to “float” in one’s field of vision. Almost everyone experiences them at one point or other. However, persistent and frequent cases are suggestive of an elaborate eye condition. It usually occurs as one ages, which is primarily as a result of condensation of fibres in the vitreous humour. Other causes of floaters in one’s vision include bleeding in the eye, inflammation in the back of the eye, posterior vitreous detachment, and a torn retina.
