Take Blood Pressure in the Morning
Many health experts recommend taking the blood pressure in the morning, right after you get up. This is because blood pressure tends to be at the lowest level during sleep and then increases after you wake up. Ideally, you should do this after going to the toilet, but before drinking coffee or taking any blood pressure drugs. Make sure to sit quietly for five minutes after leaving the toilet. Stay away from possible stressors, such as reading the news or checking emails that would increase the blood pressure. It is advisable to measure two times in a row to ensure precise readings. If the results are too different, wait a bit more and then do it again. [4]
