Side Effects
Applying castor oil with a castor oil pack is generally considered safe, but few side effects might include:
Hypersensitive reactions induced by the castor oil itself- to avoid this, do a patch test before the first-ever use.
Rashes from using the pack which can be relieved by using baking soda.
Rough handling and application can cause mild injuries to the skin.
Ingestion of castor oil is no longer recommended, due to its newfound toxic nature. Therefore, care should be taken while using the pack to avoid detrimental unhygienic practices.
