Possible Side Effects
Vitamin B12 is a type of water-soluble vitamin. The body can excrete an excessive amount of urine. Since it is quite safe to take this nutrient, there is no upper intake for vitamin B12. In some cases, rare side effects might occur. Skin conditions can happen, such as rash, dermatitis, or acne. High doses of more than 1,000 mcg might be linked to complications in those with kidney disease. In pregnant women, extremely high B12 levels in the blood could increase the risk of autism in their kids. [5]
