Invega might increase blood levels of prolactin, a type of hormone. This would lead to some side effects like losing sex drive or erectile issues in men and losing period or reduced production of breast milk in women. In the long run, elevated prolactin would result in osteoporosis and increase the risk of bone fractures. Some patients would have side effects related to muscles when taking Invega. These include stiffness, tremor, restlessness, and jerky or slow movements in the mouth. [4]
