Interesting Facts about White Blood(Leukocyte)

White blood differential test

A white blood differential is often used to detect abnormal or immature white cells. Both of these conditions can be symptoms of possible health problems. This test will measure the exact amount of different types of white blood cells in the body, including basophils, eosinophils, neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes. Your doctor might request a differential when he suspects that you have some conditions, such as leukemia, infection, or anemia. Keep in mind that the test results might have more than 5 numbers. The lab would also list these results as percentages as well as counts. [7]
