Head Lice
Head lice may bite people and leave abraded, red areas on the scalp and nearby skin. The original bites tend to be so small that you cannot even notice. However, the body’s response would make their size grow. You may feel a bit itchy at first. Also, an infestation of head lice may make you feel like having something is tickling or moving in the hair. In many people, this would lead to difficulty sleeping at night. You may also scratch your head a lot, which would lead to sores and pain. The only way to reduce these symptoms is to get rid of head lice as soon as possible. [11]
Spiders
If you notice two small puncture spots on the skin, it may be a sign of a spider bite. Swelling and redness in the affected area are common as well. Fortunately, most spider bites are harmless and only result in itchiness or mild pain. However, be careful with black widows or brown recluses. These spider species may bite and cause serious symptoms, such as nausea, tremors, muscle spasms, or necrotic lesions. Seek immediate medical attention when you think that you were bitten by them.
