How Do Your Eyes Make Voluntary Movement- Six Eye Muscles You Should Know

Six eye muscles you should know

Our eye muscles can be categorized into two groups: the recti muscles, and the oblique muscles. The human eyes have four recti muscles, which are the superior rectus muscle, the inferior rectus muscle, the lateral rectus muscle, and the medial rectus muscle respectively, and two oblique muscles, which are the superior oblique and the inferior oblique muscles. These muscles are inserted into the eye globe similarly but present in different lengths and breadths. [2]
