Common Facts about Vitamin B

Prevent Diabetes in Pregnant Women

Many pregnant women have higher blood sugar. This condition is also known as gestational diabetes, which occurs in around 10 percent of pregnancies. In some studies, vitamin B8 has been shown to be directly linked to the function of insulin, which is a hormone that can help control levels of blood sugar. Another research indicates that combining folic acid and this vitamin can help prevent the condition. Nevertheless, there is still a limited number of studies on gestational diabetes and vitamin B8 supplements in humans. More research is needed to verify this link.[5]
