Austedo – Uses, Side Effects, Dosage and More

Possible Side Effects of Austedo

Like other medications, Austedo may lead to certain side effects. Some mild side effects in those with tardive dyskinesia include swollen throat and nose, sleep issues, restlessness, or agitation. People with chorea linked to Huntington’s disease may experience anxiety, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation, urinary tract infection, sleep issues, extreme drowsiness, or fatigue. In most cases, these problems tend to disappear after several days or weeks. But if they persist or even worsen, make sure to inform your healthcare provider. More serious side effects may happen after taking Austedo, but they are not common. These include allergic reactions, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, parkinsonism, or long QT syndrome.  [3]
