HHV-8
Human herpes virus 8 or HHV8 is the main cause of Kaposi’s sarcoma, multicentric Castleman’s disease, and primary effusion lymphoma. The virus is often found in people with HIV/AIDS, making it can be hard to treat with common drugs. Kaposi’s sarcoma often leads to tumors in the skin and many tissues. Those people with compromised immune systems are typically at higher risk of contracting HSV-8 and developing the condition. [8]
