10 Remedies for a Tooth Infection

Clove Oil

Cloves contain eugenol, a component that can work as a natural anesthetic. In addition, this plant is rich in many antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. They are believed to be effective in fighting gum and tooth infections. You can simply put a few drops of clove oil in a cotton ball or swab and then put it to the affected tooth. Make sure to dilute it with a carrier oil to avoid irritation. Dried cloves can be a good option as well. Chew the whole clove gently to release the oil and keep it in place for around 20 minutes. [7]
