Other Stages of Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is staged from 0 to 4, depending on the size of the tumor, the spread of cancerous cells, and the presence of metastasis. After stage 0, there are 4 further stages, including:
– Stage 1: Cancer tumors are small and not invasive or spread very little
– Stage 2: Cancer tumors become a bit bigger in size and spread to surrounding tissue. They would affect a limited part of surrounding tissue or lymph nodes
– Stage 3: The tumors become bigger and spread further than the previous stage. They would affect more parts of the breast or lymph nodes, but not other internal organs
– Stage 4: Cancerous cells spread to other internal organs [3]
